
Met with my doctor to get the results of my special lipid panel that we did before Christmas. Who would have thought, that with my butt getting fluffier every day, my lipids aren't fuffy enough.
Although my total Cholesterol is high, most of it is the good kind (HDL). However, the LDL that I do have is in the moderate risk range and the number of small particles that cause plaque build up and coronary artery disease is too high. So my doctor recommended that I read Primal Body, Primal Mind which is all about the paleo diet.
I tried to get it from the library, but there are 48 holds on 16 copies (evidently, lots of people are looking at the diet), so I ordered it from Amazon....
In the meantime, I'm going to work on cutting out the complex carbs.....bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, etc....you know, all the stuff I love! I'm going to try to get creative with my low carb cooking.
